Associate for Organizational Belonging (Temporary)

Title: Associate for Organizational Belonging (Temporary)

Reports To: Sr. Director, Organizational Belonging

Location: US Home Office (Remote)

Status: Temporary; Exempt. This is a contract, full-time (35 hours/week) position covering a LOA, approximately 16 weeks (May 1 - August 31, 2026)

Salary Range*: $45/Hour (anticipating 35 hours/week)

Position Description

Facing History & Ourselves is a global education non-profit organization that challenges teachers and students to use lessons of history to stand up to racism, antisemitism, and other forms of bigotry and hate.

We are looking for a temporary, full time Associate to serve as a strategic partner to the Sr. Director and the Organizational Belonging team on key projects, including:

  • Internal Strategy Development: Collaborate to create data driven strategies that enhance organizational belonging and culture through targeted programming. Create a menu of opportunities for internal capacity and skill building aimed at creating a more inclusive and belonging workplace. Facilitation experience valued.

  • Supervisor Enhancement: Develop resources and training design aimed at equipping supervisors with skills to contribute to workplace inclusion and belonging with a focus on historically impacted groups.

  • Mentorship Program: Help to create an internal mentoring program in office of Organizational Belonging; identify and design outcomes and metrics of program to measure success

  • Leadership Book Read: Help establish an internal book read program for leadership, establishing goals, timeline, metrics and deliverables; determine strategy for leadership engagement and help to facilitate key discussion to maximize learning outcomes

You are a quick learner, who’s eager to contribute to our culture in this limited time. You can demonstrate a career built on trust-based relationships with people from a wide variety of personality types, seniority levels, and roles. You bring scholarship to the field of Organizational Belonging and are excited about growing your skillset and sharing your knowledge with your team and the organization. You value data and take a data driven approach to strategic planning.

Successful Applicants Must Have:

  • A minimum of 3+ years in workplace inclusion and belonging or a similar experience with measurable impact

  • Excellent facilitation skills, with experience leading professional learning sessions and discussions that shift mindsets and behaviors.

  • Ability to work and thrive in a fast paced environment, balancing time across a wide range of activities and prioritizing the most impactful work.

  • Broad and diverse experience with inclusion and belonging initiatives within a multitude of settings, including corporate, education, non-profit.

  • Commitment and ability to articulate Facing History’s mission and values

  • Proven excellence in verbal and written communication.

  • Excellent computer skills, including experience with Google Suite and Microsoft Office

  • Excellent writing and editing skills.

  • Excellent written, verbal communication skills.
