Program and Development Coordinator, Cleveland

Department: Program Delivery & Content Development
Location: Cleveland, OH

Title: Program and Development Coordinator, Cleveland
Reports to: Program Director, Cleveland Office
Status: Exempt, Full Time


The Program and Development Coordinator in Cleveland is responsible for the successful overall administrative management of the local office and support of the
all program and fundraising efforts in this office. The successful candidate will manage the daily activities of the office and provide support and coordination to the
Cleveland team in every way to contribute towards a smoothly functioning office. They will work to ensure that designated budgets are properly budgeted, managed,
tracked and documented and that communications are coordinated efficiently. They will also hold memberships on various cross-functional teams that will link
them to other administrative and fundraising Staff and project groups throughout the organization.


Programmatic support (45%):

  • Manage Program databases including but not limited to Salesforce, events, library

  • Coordinate logistics of program events, including venue identification, catering, materials, speakers, travel, etc

  • Field online communications, assist with outgoing communications

  • Participate in international program support team

Development support (45%):

  • Plan, manage and coordinate local development events

  • Assist with Corporate Benefit Breakfast including planning, execution and database entry

  • Act as logistic lead for board meetings and donations

  • Process gifts

Administrative support (10%):

  • Maintain office systems, supplies, and resource materials 

  • Assist with office projects and budget and track expenses; point of contact with finance department

  • Perform reception duties: answer phones, doors, etc; hospitality

  • Perform other related duties as required by position

Essential Skills / Qualities:

  • BAS or relevant work/internship experience

  • Experience in database entry and event planning; Salesforce knowledge a plus

  • Ability to multitask and be flexible while showing attention to detail

  • Disciplined self-starter and independent worker with creative energy

  • Excellent written, oral, organizational and computer skills

  • Interest in, and ability to articulate the mission of Facing History and Ourselves.

  • Ability to work individually and as a member of a team; flexibility

  • Familiarity with education and non-profit settings

  • Some Evening work required
