Coordinator for Online Learning

The Coordinator for Online Learning is responsible for managing all aspects of live webinars and the On-Demand Learning Center (ODLC). The person in this role must be proficient and knowledgeable in all areas of webinar production and delivery with specific focus on new models of professional learning including both live and pre-recorded webinars.

Pre-production activities include scheduling the webinar, overseeing dress rehearsals with presenter(s) and/or panelists, and communicating with the marketing team about promotion of webinar. Day-of-webinar activities including the orchestration of the webinar, management of chat box, and technical support within the webinar platform. Post-production tasks include posting the webinar in the On-Demand Learning Center, monitoring webinar engagement, and gathering educator feedback.

This position requires an individual with strong project management skills, multi-tasking abilities, and high attention to detail.

Responsibilities include:

  • Provide support for webinars including driving the event language approval process, registration, and technical support during live events, editing recorded webinars and ensuring they are uploaded to the ODLC in a timely manner.
  • Assist Director of Online Learning and Assistant Director of Online Learning in working with a cross-functional team to ensure high-quality webinars and other professional learning opportunities are being planned and delivered.
  • Coordinate, schedule, and lead webinar dress rehearsals for presenters and guest speakers.
  • Manage technical infrastructure for all webinars (set up On24 console prior to the webinar based on the webinar agenda, log in to webinar early to test equipment and troubleshoot any technical issues, manage Q&A during webinar)
  • Ensure data about live and on-demand webinar attendees is uploaded into SalesForce
  • Collaborate with Assistant Director of Online Learning to analyze engagement level data on webinar participants and work on strategies to increase engagement as needed.
  • Update the online learning and ODLC websites in Drupal as appropriate and QA these assets.
  • Coordinate the gathering of preferences from educators and landscape analysis to ensure webinar and on-demand learning content is meeting the needs of educators.
  • As a member of the Online Learning team, integrate the vision and strategy of online learning into larger organization goals.
  • Stay current on latest issues, technology and methods of online learning. Assist the Online Learning team in bringing pedagogy into practice by exploring new ways of modeling Facing History in on-demand, online formats.
  • Participate in, and help coordinate, regular Online Learning team meetings; quarterly and yearly retreats.
  • Manage and coordinate the distribution of all inquiries coming into Facing History through the webinar inbox.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 1  year of experience providing support for webinars.
  • BA/BS or relevant work/internship experience required.
  • Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications skills.
  • Strong problem-solving capability, with an orientation towards continuous process improvement.
  • Experience with Zoom and/or On24 platforms (strongly preferred).
  • Experience with Canvas LMS (strongly preferred).
  • Experience with video production and editing (preferred).
  • Excellent customer service and support oriented approaches.
  • Self-directed and detail-oriented.
  • Current on latest research and trends in online learning (preferred).
  • Exceptional organization skills and the ability to independently manage all stages of a project.
  • Flexible nature and experience in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to meet deadlines and communicate challenges.
  • Interest in and ability to articulate the mission of this nonprofit
